Our Mission

Our Mission

Our Mission

Promote independence and sustainability in the lives of people in our community who live on limited incomes, through connection to services, resources, and limited financial assistance. Our goal is to provide a hand-up rather than a hand-out.

Our History

Our Mission

Our Mission

NHN started as a volunteer organization in 2003, as a way to facilitate a connection between those community members wanting to help and those in need. The program was expanded and received its IRS 501(c)3 nonprofit status in 2009 as a result of the Northwest Area Community Foundation Horizons program.

Our Board

Our Mission

Our Board

The Board consists of 7 dedicated individuals that provide guidance and insight into issues of poverty that impact residents of Teton County. They field calls from both those in need and those wanting to give, and help connect individuals and families to resources that will give them a hand up.
